The nurse called me yesterday morning while I was helping with our CSA-type boxes. I returned her call to find out the doctor wanted me coming back in for more blood work. Why they didn't think to run these tests while I was there the day before was annoying, but it is what it is.
After I dropped NYEBoy off at work, I made the almost hour drive back to the doctor's office. I called my grandmother, like I always do, and we talked while I drive. I always put the phone on speaker and slip it under my right shoulder bra strap as sort of a hands-free style. lol
The front desk lady just laughed and asked me why I was back. (Yesterday, she said she was putting me on the payroll.) I told her "y'all called me". I waited for a bit and the nurse came out to come get my blood.
Last week, she asked where I wanted it taken from and I told her they have been having trouble lately with my arms, so it's been easier to get it out of my hands. She made a big fuss about how the hands hurt a lot and tried to get it out of my arms. She tried twice in my arms before finally giving up and going for my hand. This week, she reluctantly decided to go for my hands first, but I could tell she didn't really want to. The first stick she barely even tried, and of course it didn't work. So, she tried on the other hand. It worked, but I'm pretty sure she was trying to prove to me that hands hurt because she dug all around with that needle. Ughh. Of course it's super sore and bruised today.
Man, how I wish I had my good veins back!
The doctor decided to re-run my hep panels so he could get approval for the liver ultrasound. (It was negative a few months ago, so I am not really expecting a change in that.) Apparently, he's decided he's not comfortable waiting a month to see the lab results before deciding on an ultrasound. The hep panel may come back today, or tomorrow at the latest. And I believe we'll be getting the ultrasound next week.
Anyways, I'll keep you all updated per usual. Thanks for the prayers and support!
Yesterday's office visit marked the 5th visit in two weeks to the doctor. I'm pretty sure I should be be getting a free copay at some point, right? Lol Buy five, get one free.

I am soooo thankful that I have good veins. I hate needles. I have learned to deal with it well through this infertility journey, or at least to tolerate it. I really don't think I could handle it if they couldn't find the veins in my arms. I've heard horror stories about nurses having to dig around. No Thank You!! I'm so sorry you have to go through that!
