Every year for the past few years, I have really been wanting to get into reading. I haven't been a big reader since I was a kid. I have fond memories of collecting every Babysitter Little Sister book. I remember being curled up, under the covers, in the bed, and escaping into the books. It's been a long time since I've had those feelings.
I've made a modest goal of reading twelve books this year--one a month. As long as I read at least one book a month, I figure anything over that number is icing on the cake. In order to make sure I stick to my goal, I've been scouring Amazon's Kindle site every day for a few minutes. I check out the daily deal and see what's hot on the top 100 list. I try to add at least one book to my iPad, especially when they are cheap or free! I love a bargain.
Well, the first book I've read I finished in less than 24 hours. I read Eat That Frog! by Brian Tracy. The title was flashy and it was about procrastinating. Since another one of my goals this year is to not waste so much time and stay on top in school, I was hopeful it could give me a little inspiration to DO something instead of just THINK about doing something. Boy, did it ever!
This book goes through 21 ways to help you do better with your time, thus making your life more productive and successful. It's not 21 separate tips, it's really 21 different things to do together. Each thing on the list helps with the next thing, making your life that much more easier.
I'll be sharing with you all over the next few weeks, different things I learned from this book and how I've implemented them as well. Pick up a copy of the book or download it to your Kindle or iPad. This is a book you're going to want to flip back to often to remind yourself how to get the most out of work, school, and your life.
