We went today to get the last load from the old place. The only problem was that we didn't have any way to bring over a desk and tv stand that NYEBoy just had to have. We called every moving company I could find on Google, but everyone was booked because duh, students are moving in. Luckily, we ran to the Uhaul place by our house and they had a two hour opening for us to rent the cargo van.
We managed to get the last load moved over, but not without a few verbal exchanges from the both of us. I'm pretty sure moving may leave to breakups or divorces. This one has definitely worn me out both physically and mentally!
I've only got one room in the whole house that is even presentable and that is my office. Clearly I have priorities, people! I can't wait to share pictures with you all. I should have office pictures maybe Tuesday.
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I know I need to get my house in order so I can enjoy my vacation before classes start back...only three more weeks! Ugh.

Holding My Own
We were grabbing our last load at the house today when NYEBoy and I had to take our big broken TV and move it. I won't get into the hissy fit someone threw about moving it not me, but needless to say, as soon as we reached it's destination point, NYEBoy "accidently" dropped his side of the TV and it rolled straight onto my left arm/wrist/hand.
I'm pretty sure I let out several naughty words.
Here is what it looked like a few minutes after it happened...

And here is what it looked like after a few xrays...

Nothing is broken, but I have two really nice large bruises and swelling. I was sent home with some Vicodin and instructions to ice and elevate for a few days. Clearly this doctor doesn't understand how insane these boxes are driving me. Ha!

Date Night, Captain Style
NYEBoy and I went to see Captain America tonight. He really wanted to go to out to dinner before, but I convinced him we could order pizza instead. I'm so lazy. I really just didn't want to have to get all dolled up for dinner and a movie. Plus, no one is going to see me in a movie, it's dark. Except, you know, when you randomly run into three of NYEBoy's coworkers as the movie lets out. Awkward.
The movie was awesome, as were the milk duds, popcorn, and soda. Ohhh yeah. Speaking of milk duds, popcorn, and soda, I am getting back on my diet starting Monday. I've had a first real good period for the first time in a long time this past week. I'm pretty sure it was because of the diet a few weeks ago. Now that I have a huge bottle of pills (Metformin) and a gym right outside my front door, I can't make any excuses!
Oh yeah, if you have an AMC theatre, you must sign up for their rewards program. It does cost $12 a year, but if you go to the movies some what often, it's only $1 a month and it pays within a few trips to the movies, especially when prices are out of the roof! You get $10 for every $100 you spend, and that includes the purchase of your card! Not bad. We earned our first $10 just the third trip to the movies! (We go at least every other week!)
What movies have you seen lately?
Don't forget to enter my giveaway from Raw Organics! There's only a few days left, but don't forget, you can still use the code InDueTime to save 20% now through the end of August!

Party of Five
We went from a party of five (and a dog) to a party of two this evening.
I am very thankful for the time I got to spend with my family.
I miss A already. Actually, I've missed A since she's been here. More on that later.
Tomorrow will be hard, so I need to get some sleep while I can.
I hope you're all having a wonderful week.

Last Night
My mom and A are leaving tomorrow night. Actually, my brother is leaving too. They (My mom and A) were supposed to stay until Friday night but the computer messed up their tickets and since my mom has a lot to get together for A's school which starts in just over a week, we didn't bother correcting it.
I'm going to miss them all. My mom and brother have been a huge help. I still have a lot to do after they leave, but I am so glad they helped me get to this point. It's so hard doing this alone, but NYEBoy has been busy working.
In case you missed it, don't forget to enter the giveaway from Raw Organics.
We have a busy day tomorrow including pictures, school clothes shopping, and visiting a few people. I hope you're all doing well.

[Giveaway] Raw Organics Wool Dryer Balls
As I am in the midst of unpacking boxes, playing with A, and pulling dead birds out of the dryer (Yes, really! More on THAT later.) I have a giveaway for you all.
After hearing about Raw Organics wool dryer balls, I knew I had to try some, and better yet, I knew I wanted YOU to try them, too!
I got my balls (and your balls) in the mail right before our move. I have used mine several times and they have cut down the drying time by about 20-30 minutes. You just toss them in the dryer with your clothes and the wool helps speed up your drying time, as well as softening your clothes without having to use dryer sheets.
Julia, the lovely owner of Raw Organics hand crafts each ball. She has a huge variety of different types of balls and scents. The scents she has are lemon, clary sage, spearmint, bergamot, patchouli, tangerine, lavender, rosemary, and sweet orange.
One lucky reader will win four (4) natural black raw wool dryer balls.
But don't worry, even if you don't win, Julia is giving my readers 20% off any order through the month of August! Just use the code InDueTime.
(Please leave ONE separate comment for EACH of the following:)
The only mandatory entry is to visit Julia's shop and tell me what your favorite color dryer balls are.

A Kid's Meal
After only a few hours of being here, A requested shoe-shee. So we went to Azu to get some sushi and other yummy food.

Yes, that's a kid's meal. A didn't eat it all, but she would have ate it all if it was a California Roll!

Reading To Her
I don't begrudge parents for getting annoyed about playing with their kids or reading them a store JUST. ONE. MORE. TIME! but coming from the place that I am--where I have spent six months wishing I could have done that JUST. ONE. MORE. TIME!, I am trying to soak up every moment. Well, except when she twirls around and hits me as hard as she can on the ass and laughs.
Tonight she found her bin of books.
A: Will you read me a story?
Me: Sure.
A: ::gets book::
Me: ::reads book::
A: Will you read another one?
Me: Sure.
A: ::gets book::
Me: ::reads book::
A: Um, will you read another book?
Me: Yeah.
A: ::gets book::
Me: ::reads book::
A: *puppy dog eyes* So, do you want to read another one?
Me: Sure.
A: ::gets book::
Me: ::reads book::
A: Okay, will you read just ONE more?
Me: ::laughs:: Of course.
I know she kept waiting for me to say "Only. One. MORE!" but I didn't. I just smiled, held her, and read.
I soaked up the memories.
While I can.

Been A Little Busy
I woke up at 8 to finish cleaning the house some before my mom and A arrived. A little after 10, I knew to just get over it because it was a lost cause. Mom doesn't care and quite frankly, neither does A.
On my way to the bus station, I couldn't help but think that almost 11 months to the day, I was picking A up from the bus station for completely different reasons. I think if I had been picking them up in the night time, it would have had an even harder impact on me emotionally. We arrived at the bus station literally about 45 seconds before they did. By the time we pulled in, parked, and started walking for the door, I saw their bus pull up.
As we waked to the back of the bus station, I was wondering how A was going to react to me. Would she be shy? Would she run? There wasn't long for me to think about that, though, because just a few moments later, A ran passed the crowd straight into my arms.
She was a little shy at first, as to be expected, but she's warming up. My mom told me my father told her that if she came to Florida again she would never get to see her mom and dad because we would take her away. WHO the fuck tells a five year old that?
She wasn't here but a few hours before she requested Starbucks, sushi, the movies, the beach, and Chuck E Cheese. That's our girl!
We went swimming today in the pool, out to dinner with a friend, and to the store to pick out her a backpack for Kindergarten.
It's been a good day and I am sure tomorrow will be even better. I'm hoping to attend church in the morning.
I should have the review for Raw Organics posted tomorrow. I set up my computer tonight, but it has apparently reset itself and I may have lost everything. NYEBoy is going to look at it tomorrow before I freak out. Thanks for baring with me, I know you all understand.
Also a special thanks for the emails, comments, tweets, and texts this morning and afternoon. It's so nice to know A is loved by so many.

On A Midnight Train
Or bus.
My mom and A will be arriving in a few hours.
I have popsicles in the freezer.
Wine in the fridge.
And a house full of boxes.
Who cares about the last part.
I'm just excited to see them.
When my mom called home to check on A before she got off work, A asked how much longer until they left. My mom told her 6 more hours. A responded "Well, I wish it was 30 minute of an hour!" LOL
I should have my computer up tomorrow so I will be posting a giveaway from Raw Organics. Setting up my desk took a lot more hours than I thought it was going to take.
I hope you all had a wonderful week. Mine has been busy to say the least.

Unpacking
I couldn't sleep the night before we moved. I had finals and a big move to think about, so needless to say, I was running on fumes all day yesterday.
The owner, Luc, came by and quoted us for six hours. When his crew got here, someone told my friend it would only take 3-4 hours. I laughed at both, I knew better.
I tried my best to have most of it ready to go, but since I was the only one doing the packing, it didn't happen as well as I had liked. (My fault, not theirs!!)
The movers were here for almost 9 hours and I made them EARN their money. I even fed them dinner (turkey sandwiches FTW!). I will be using them again for sure. If you are in the TaIIahassee area and need movers, please call Luc at Elite Campus Movers. They are affordable and fast. Also? They are funny. We taught them some German and they started speaking it whenever i would tell them where to put something! Haha!
After I got the beds and couch put together, we heard a big noise and I walked down the hall way to see my inventory doing this:

I just turned around and went back into the living room. LOL!
Tomorrow I will have a giveaway for you all! My mom and A will be boarding a bus tomorrow night!!!!!!!

Why, Hello Anxiety!
Moving brings on stress. Moving during finals week brings on it's own set of challenges. Moving during finals week, two days before you get to see the piece of your heart you haven't seen in 158 days is enough to send one in a tailspin.
NYEBoy and I got into a huge fight tonight over something stupid. I was freaking out because I had 18 minutes to finish 9 questions on my online homework for Math, I was trying to ask for his help, but I was freaking him out with my anxiety, and we both snapped at each other. He left to drive around and I took a deep breath, huddled over my calculator, and finished the remaining questions two minutes before it was due. Then, I sent him a text and apologized.
I laid down around 2 am to try to get a few hours of sleep, but nearly an hour later it became very apparent my body wasn't going to let me sleep. It's now 4 am and I am counting down the minutes until Starbucks opens and debating on what needs to be taken care of most before the movers get here.
Before I have to drop NYEBoy off at work, we have to run by the new place to sign paperwork and get the keys. Once I get back home I have to wait for Comcast to call and try to study for my finals. Comcast is due between 10-1 and my finals are at 1. Luckily, I have two kick ass friends that are going to help me if they don't get here before I have to go to class. I'm hoping I finish my final in an hour, because the movers will be meeting me at 2:30. Again, thank God for the two awesome people helping me in case the movers come before I can finish.
Tonight night will end with a pizza delivery, an ice cold beer, and me in a garden tub full of bubbles and hot water. Possibly all three at the same time.
Don't judge me, just pray for me.
Talk to y'all on the flip side!

A BIG Secret
My mom and I didn't talk for a few months, but once something happened to my brother, we had to start talking again so I could tell her what was going on. Well, That turned into her changing her vacation from the week of July 4th to this next week to come visit me after we move.
We briefly discussed A coming for a visit, but I didn't get my hopes up too much because I know how my sister can be so wishy washy. Last week, she told my mom she was never going to let A see me again. My mom was heartbroken, but I just rolled my eyes.
Last night, I got a call that my sister agreed to let A come to FL to see my brother. Keywords to that last sentance are brother and FL. Not me and not T@llahassee. See, we were going to say they were coming to FL and my brother IS coming to Tally, but she didn't really need to know Tally or I was in the equation.
Well, my sister started talking to her today and she was all "Mom, you're taking A to see IDT aren't you? Tell me the truth." My mom told her she was and K said she didn't care.
Their bus tickets have been purchased, but I won't believe it until they are on their way and walk off the bus. I can't lie though, I can not WAIT to see this sweet girl's face.

The Guessing Game
I am moving the day after tomorrow. I am not sure how "in three weeks" turned into "the day after tomorrow" but somehow, I have arrived here. It's a crazy feeling. Excitement and nervous all at the same time. I have two finals the same day we're moving. One due online and the other I have to take in class. Eeek...
The moving company came by today to take a look and give us a guesstimate of how much it's going to cost. He said he thinks it'll be about two trips "::sigh:: from what we see". LOL! Someone's got a lot of shit, but I won't point fingers.
Anyways, do you remember the game where the jar would be filled with a candy and you had to guess how many candy pieces were in it?
Well, here's your chance to guess at something fun.
How many boxes/bins do you think we will have?
How many rolls of tape will I go through?
I am exhausted, but I know on Thursday it will all be worth it.
Totally can't wait until my mom arrives on Saturday. Cold wine and beer will be well deserved by then!

What Do You Do With YOUR Weekends?
{I'm busy packing for our move and studying for finals. I'll see you on Thursday!}
Today's question over at Summer Camp is: What is your favorite thing about the weekend? Do you take a break from blogs or is this when you catch up?
I love that the weekends allow NYEBoy and I to spend more time together. We're both so busy during the week (usually him more so than me!), but the weekends mean date night. He still works a lot during the weekend, but the stress of having something to work on for tomorrow versus something to work on for Monday is a lot less stressful! Of course, this weekend doesn't count since we'll be burried in boxes. (Me, more so than him!)
I used to take blogging breaks on the weekends, but this year I have a goal to blog every day for a year and so far, I've made it!

Friends and Social Media
{I'm busy packing for our move and studying for my finals. I'll see you on Thursday!}
Today's question over at Summer Camp is: How many friends of yours blog/tweet/actively facebook? Has social media helped or hurt your friendships?
Between Twitter and Facebook, I am able to stay connected with my IRL friends. On the flip side, none of the friends I've met "IRL" have blogs, but I have met some really wonderful ladies thanks to blogs.
I would have to give Facebook it's due compliments, because without it I wouldn't have been able to keep up with as many friends back home once we moved.
I think social media helps my friendships more than it hurts. Although if any of my friends are bothering me, I typically keep it off twitter, blogs, or facebook because I know they read there. That's the only downside. (HI GUYS!!! I LOVE YOU!!! Lol)

Five More Nights
We were supposed to move next Friday.
Except, the moving people we were recommended were booked.
So, we had to go with Wednesday.
At 1 pm.
Except, I have a final at 1 pm.
So, they are coming as soon as I am done.
At 2:30 pm.
And now, I have two days to pack, two days to study, and then I am studying and moving.
I'm not sure if I should be happy or scared.
But it doesn't matter.
Because I am both.

Last Day of Reg Classes
Today was the last day of regular classes for the summer for me. I am less than a week away from completing my first full year of college courses. Damn, that's something to be proud of. And I am.
I have a final and writing assignments to complete for my online class and a final and some online work to complete for my math class and then I am done until the end of August.
I've almost done it, y'all!

Best (and Worst) Job You Ever Had
Calliope asked us about the best and worst job we've ever had.
I've only had a few jobs, so I'll share them all with you!
I got my first two jobs while I was in high school at the same time. I worked at a church preschool and at a daycare. I worked in the one-year-olds room at both places. I left the church preschool because I left school. I ended up seeing the lady I worked with a few years later at the doctors office I worked for. She was very happy to see how I was doing. I quit the daycare because they wanted me to work the summer, but refused to give me a raise after being there almost a year.
Not only did I end up leaving the daycare, but I took several kids with me and watched them from my house (or theirs) for a few years. I really enjoyed doing in home daycare. Part of me would like to go back to doing that one day, but we'll see.
After I stopped watching the kids in my house, I went to work at a warehouse. Inside the warehouse, they had an office, and above the office was an apartment-like setup. I watched the owner's grandkids and two employee's kids during the day while their parents were either in the warehouse or downstairs in the office. It was a nice job, except the fact that the owner kept trying to get me to sleep with him. My girlfriend got me the job and she was sleeping with him, and he was paying her on the side, thousands of dollars. It was crazy, but there was NO way I was having sex with that man. His daughter was just a few years older than me. Ew. Ew. I ended up quitting that job because his wife became unbareable to work for. I think she suspected we were sleeping together, but she was looking at the wrong place. After I quit I was talking to someone who still worked there and I found out he started sleeping witht he new nanny. WTF? Crazy. Did I mention he bought me a car? Yeah. He paid me without his wife knowing for the monthly notes. As soon as it was paid off, I left that place. Lol
After working at as a nanny for a few years, I was really burnt out. Not just with the kids, but the parents (or grandparents) add their own dose of stress and I didn't feel like it was worth it any more. So, I went to work with my aunt at the doctors office. I loved working there. I did it for several years and probably would still be there if it weren't for NYEBoy moving to FL for graduate school. I miss most of my coworkers, doctors, and patients. I was good at my job, which the doctors loved, but a few lazy ass coworkers were jealous and hateful. I don't miss their asses, but I don't think they work there any more. (Surprising!..not.)
I've also worked off and on over the past 10 years selling things on eB@y. I'll be getting back into that when we move. I have over 50 bins of inventory I haven't touched in about two years since the girls moved in with us. I really love being able to shop and sell things. I think the best thing I ever sold was for $300 and I paid two or three bucks for it.
My dream job is to be a mother, though. One day I will be hired for that position!
What about you, what's the best (and/or worst) job you've ever had? How many jobs have you had? Have you ever been fired? (I haven't.)

Ms. Pissy Pants
I couldn't sleep again last night. I was still in a horrible mood. As soon as I would get about a blink away from falling asleep, I would pop back awake for a few hours. I was too tired to do anything productive like studying or packing, so I just sat at my desk or laid in bed. It was ridiculous.
I was finally able to take a nap for a little bit before classes started, but I woke up feeling just as pissy as before, if not even a little bit more so. I'm not sure why I was having trouble kicking my bad mood, but it has started to fade away. I'm a little less bitchy, pissy, and mad.
I hate being in bummer moods. I prefer to be a happy person.
Now, here's to hoping the waters recede and take my pissy mood with 'em.

I'm So Emo
And by emo, I mean emotional. I'm totally not cool enough to be emo.
I had a therapy appointment today. It was just the last session that I was thinking how weird it was to go to therapy and not be sad. Then I go this week and I have to try my best not to break down in her office because I have class as soon as our session is over. I did end up crying, but I managed to avoid a total emotional breakdown. Thank God. I always hate crying in her office. (I've only done it once before.) It makes me feel so vulnerable.
We dicussed the things that were bothering me, namely the move, finals, and my mom's upcoming visit. I figured it would be best to leave the infertility topic off the table this week. Oh, infertility, you ask? Yes. It has reared it's ugly head this weekend and I want to blog about it, but I can't seem to write my feelings out without being worried about pissing some people off.
I have a quiz tomorrow in Math that is worth 30% of our quiz grade. It's stressing me out. Luckily, I only have three more classes left. My final is next Wednesday and since I thought it was next Tuesday, you would think it would make me happy, but it just makes me think I have one more day to stress out about the final.
If I can just make it to the 23rd (day after we move), I'll be alright! I hope.

Boxing Up Our Weekend
We're moving in less than two weeks and my mom is coming down in exactly two weeks. My brother is going to try to come down for a few days too. I'm not going to lie, I'm excited about seeing them. I miss my family. Well, what little remains of it. Ha.
I just started packing today. I managed to pack all of three boxes before I had to take a break. And those three boxes? That was only half a bookshelf worth of inventory and crafting shit. Yeah, I know, sad.
We went and saw Horrible Bosses last night. It was hysterical! We both laughed so hard and NYEBoy isn't much of a laugher. He's always so serious. Lol I can't wait to see Friends With Benefits. I think that's going to be another funny one.
I hope you're all having a great weekend. I think I am skipping church tomorrow to pack and get ready for my Math final. It's only about 10 days away.

Day 7 on Day 8
Well, I was switching day 7 and 8 for a reason, but that reason didn't end up mattering after all. Ugh. Anyways, here's the answer to day 7's post from Calliope's 31 Days of Blog Juice.
What’s your favorite thing to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner? Do you read food blogs or would you ever consider writing one?
Here is what I am supposed to be eating for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but I've taken a few weeks off until we move. I'll be starting back on it as soon as my Mom goes back home. {She's coming down the day after we move to help me unpack! And to bond with me. I think. Lol}
Now, healthy eating aside, I love chickfila chicken minis or a big pancake and bacon breakfast. Yuuuuuuum!! For lunch, I like salads or subway. Now, for dinner, I love me a steak and salad. Yum, yum, yum! My current obsession is Outback's rib eye (woodfire grill, medium) and their chopped bleu cheese salad, minus the bleu cheese crumbles, and their dressing on the side. I only use a little bit to flavor it.
I love food blogs, but I don't think I cook with enough variety to actually write one! Plus, we eat out way too much. My food blog would be full of what I order at different restaurants. Having said that, I am getting ready to enter a BlogHer food contest soon. I can't wait to share with you all. {And yes, I totally hope I win a spot!}

Day 8 of Summer Camp
I'm supposed to be participating in Calliope's 31 Days of Blog Juice, but I've either forgot to look or had something else to blog about.
I'm going to go a little backwards today though. I will do day 8 on day 7 and day 7 on day 8. Hope you don't mind!
Day 8's question: If you had to teach something, what would you teach? (If you DO teach, when did you discover your love for teaching/the subject?) Do you think blogs can play a role in education?
I'm sure most of you know, but in case you don't, I am going to school and double majoring in math and education. The university has a program that allows you to major in either $cience or M@th and you can get your teaching degree, too. I'm hoping to teach either at the high school or community college level, but we'll see.
Part of me has always wanted to be a teacher, but when I enrolled last fall into college I had fully expected to double major in nursing and graphic design. Shortly after classes started though, my desire to teach was ignighted again and I've decided to go for it. I'm a week away from wrapping up my first full year in college. Craziness.
I think blogs could play a role in education. I am having a hard time finding education-related blogs. I would love to get a blog roll together, so if anyone has any education related blogs, I would love to check 'em out.
I hope you're all doing well. I have a busy weekend ahead. We're moving two weeks from tomorrow!

Big Brother 13
I'm not sure HOW it's possible, but it's apparently the 13th season of Big Brother!
And it starts tomorrow.
And I might be addicted.
If you haven't ordered your live feeds, today is the last day to get them at the early bird price. You can use this link to purchase your feeds and stay up to date on the latest Big Brother news. You can also follow Morty on Twitter.
Who is with me? Where are my fellow Big Brother addicts?

Keeping A Secret
I've been keeping a secret. I've been hesitant to share it, in part because I know my family reads my blog. I don't know, though. I feel like I need to share it with you all. I feel like I've been hiding how well I am feeling lately. I worry that by blogging about my true feelings, my family members that do talk to me will keep from being open with about how A is doing.
I received an email from an aunt with pictures of A's birthday party. I read the message, but didn't open the pictures. I didn't know how I wanted to respond to it, so I waited to discuss it with my therapist before responding. More on that later. (And btw, if you are that aunt, and are reading this. I got your email. I will be responding.) A few days after talking to my therapist, I decided to look at the pictures. There were about forty or so pictures.
My mom and I had talked about her opening the box we sent, but I wasn't prepared enough to look at them. She told me that when A opened the box she did okay until she saw the present I sent that was like a light-up picture frame that you can write on. I had put the batteries in it and signed it "InDueTime {heart}'s A".
What people don't know is that A would often ask me to write our names. She loved that.
Sigh. This is the picture of my mother's words.

Words can't describe the sadness I see in her face. It broke my heart. And I cried. A lot.
I couldn't even come up with the courage enough to share it with NYEBoy because I knew he would feel the exact same way I did.
I miss that kid. So, so, so much. It reminded me that the grief I've been feeling since Feb 12th, is also being felt by her, too. It's easy to forget that. And the sad thing is that she doesn't have anyone to talk to her about it or to help her through her waves.

4th of July Festivities
The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays. I love the colors, grilling out, hanging with family/friends, and the fireworks.
When we were kids, we would head over to my Aunt and Uncle's house in @rkansas. We would head over either the day before or the morning of. On the way over, we would always stop by a gas station just past the MS bridge to pick up a soda and fireworks.
Once we arrived at my Aunt C and Uncle A's we would hit the pool all day, only getting out to eat, swing on the swing set, or fight with each other. As the sun began to cross over the trees, just out of the pool's sight, we knew it was getting close to the time that we could shoot fireworks.
As soon as we dried off, it was time to start with the little stuff first, the bottle rockets at the cars and people passing, smoke bombs, and those little black turd-growing things. Once it was dark enough to see the fun stuff, we all fought over who was getting to shoot off what. Kids running around with punks, trying (usually unsuccessfully) not to burn each other. Brother's are the worst. I swear their whole goal is to blow a body part of yours off or burn you.
Once it got close to 9 or so, we would leave. If we timed it right, we could get to the MS bridge just in time for Memph!s to shoot their fireworks. We would pull over on I-40, hoping the police wouldn't flash us all away. What? We weren't the only rednecks to do this. There's always a line of us dumbasses.
Ahhh, memories. This is something I've always looked forward to going to doing with my husband and children. To watch them swim in the same pool we did. To watch our kids sit at the kiddie table, while we adults talked. To shoot fireworks with our kids.
I'm not sure what NYEBoy and I will do this year. I'd like to go to the neighborhood we're getting ready to move into to watch their fireworks, but we'll see. Wish A was with us, I know she'd love the fireworks.

Lazy Sunday
I woke up with a migraine this morning. It threw a wrench in my plan of watching the closing arguments and helping out at the homeless shelter today, which sucked.
On the bright side, after NYEBoy did some work, he came to bed with me in the afternoon and we snuggled for awhile. Actually, I drifted in and out of sleep for about five hours while he tried to wake me up.
He finally convinced me to grab a bite to eat before everything shut down. I hate that about this town. It's a college town, yet everything closes at like 10pm. WTH?
After dinner, we headed to Starbucks for me to grab my new favorite drink before heading to Walmart for a few groceries. Apparently we've been needing a few things to eat.

I hope you're all having a wonderful holiday weekend.

Infertile Bargaining
I haven't had a period in six weeks.
My breasts hurt.
It's Father's day.
Should I test?
What if there isn't a second line?
I'll wait.
Another week goes by.
Now I'm peeing a lot.
I should test this week.
Next week will mark 7 years since I started TTC.
I'll wait.
Another week goes by.
I'm still peeing a lot.
I finally remember to go pick up a pregnancy test.
I buy four.
Just in case.
I like to have some on hand anyways.
I bargin with God, or whoever is listening, the whole way home.
Seven means lucky, right?
I've been waiting long enough.
What if...
What if.
I pull up to the house.
Quietly sneak into the bathroom.
I pull the test from the box and set it on the counter.
I collect the urine and drop a few on the test.
And then I look down.
What do I see?
I'm spotting.
And the test mocks my body.
It's negative.
Of course it is.
Infertility wins.
Again.
One day the tide will swing my way.
One day it will.
Just you wait and see.

Any way you count it, this road has been a long one.
If you told me seven years ago I would still be childless, I would have thought you were crazy.
This year I feel a bundle of emotions about it. Hurt. Sad. Lonely. Thankful, even.
It hurts I'm still a childless infertile. I'm sad I'm not a mother yet. It's a lonely place to be, seven years out. Thankful for infertility in a way, because if I had become a mother before last year, I would have never started my college career.
I'm not sure how much longer we'll be on this path of childless infertility, but whether it's a year, two, or five, there is no one else I'd rather have by myself than NYEBoy and my fellow blog readers.
Thank you for your support during this journey and I love each one of you.
