We had a meeting after church for a group of us doing planning for the young aduIts today. After lunch though, I noticed my lower back was really hurting. I couldn't figure out what it was, it felt like a kidney infection that was starting up. I ended up taking a nap and some meds to see if it would help, but I woke up in more pain.
I sat around for about 30 minutes trying to decide if I wanted to risk it over night or go ahead and take a trip to the ER to get started on some meds. I have classes tomorrow morning bright and early, so I decided to not risk it and to get a jump start on some meds.
Once I got there though, the doctor started talking about back pain and not a kidney infection. I thought he was crazy, but then he did a physical exam by pressing on my lower back in about ten spots and I started jumping off the bed with tears in my eyes from the pain. He told me it was sacroiliac joint pain.
He tried to give me some Percocet and Flexeril, but this chic has classes at 9 am and that was a party I wasn't going to attend tonight. Lol! He gave me a script for both and told me to fill them because in the middle of the night if I needed them, I wouldn't be very glad to have them on hand. He wants me off of my feet for three days, but again, classes start tomorrow and I can't do that.
Having said that... walking is PAIN!FUL! which should totally make walking around a college campus so much fun, especially when all of your classes are 15 mins apart. Girlfriend will be taking advantage of the police tomorrow! They will drive you to your building in a golf cart if you call them. Yay!
If you'll excuse me, I'm going to go get into the bed with my heating pad and pain meds. Hopefully this will not be a long night.
I can't believe classes start tomorrow!!
