Low Amylose - Month One

I've been on the Low Amylose diet for a month today. I am down 7 lbs. I know I had previously mentioned being down 8lbs the first week, but I was weighing in two different places and I think the carpet screwed me up. Of course I didn't realize until after the second week! I was feeling a bit bummed about that, but really, it's okay.

I am doing really well with it so far. I have only allowed myself to splurge a few times. And by splurge, I am talking about the weekend we went out of town and the week I donated blood. I was really weak and needed the sugar replaced, so I did not feel guilty one bit!

I can't say I really notice a difference in energy at all. I am not taking my Metformin at the moment like Christina was her first month. I am not really exercising much either. In fact, it's been able three weeks since I've exercised. My weight loss is solely from the lack of carbs and sugar. I'll probably start working out this month to see if it helps me lose faster.

I've also had two periods. I'm anxious to see if I get another period this month. The first two were a week apart. This is huge considering I have only had one period in the last year on my own.

I still have another post, which I hope to add sometime this week. After that, I would like to do a Q&A post. If you have any questions about this diet/life style change, please feel free to post them and I will answer them in another post.

I look forward to seeing what Month Two brings. I don't plan on giving up any time soon, especially since I am seeing a steady rate of weight loss of about 1-2lbs a week.

So awesome! Have you been taking OPKs or temping to see how things are going in that department?

I am starting back soon!

Annie, I just posted a link at the top of my blog for a quick review. Let me know if you don't see it.

Christina, I have not yet.

Thanks Kristin! The first few days were the hardest! Luckily it gets easier. Now I only have a few moments were I CRAVE the goodness that are carbs and sugar. Heh.
