The first week of being on this diet was the hardest. I couldn't figure out what I could drink or eat except a few things. I finally figured some things out and they are getting easier.
As far as drinks go, at first I was just drinking water, and honestly, that sucked. I'm not a huge plain water fan. I loved my coke and sweet tea, even though I hadn't had coke in several months.
Besides water, milk, and unsweet tea, I also found some juice made by Ocean Spray that is called 100% Fruit and Vegetable juice. One of them has bananas in it and the other doesn't, so you have to be careful which flavor you get since we're not supposed to have banana.
Another drink option I have found has been the little drink mixes you add to bottled water. There are a few sugar free options out there by Propel Zero and Ocean Spray that I have been loving. I take the packets and add them to the bottled water before putting them in the refrigerator.
I will say I have tried the Hansen's organic flavors and they are HORRIBLE. I literally took a sip and tossed the package. GROSS!
Starbucks makes a sugar free vanilla syrup which still allows me to get a vanilla latte for my coffee fix.
I also found Tropical Smoothie can make any smoothie with Splenda instead of sugar for those of you looking for a treat to cool down with. Just be careful because most of their smoothies are made with bananas. I think my favorite is called Island Freeze or something like that, and instead of bananas, I get either peaches or mango as a replacement.
I don't feel like I am being deprived of anything in the drink department. Occasionally I miss having a coke or sprite, but honestly, I haven't had a coke since December so I can handle it.
If you have any other sugar free drink favorites, please let me know. I love trying to find new things.
Don't forget to check out the breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and salads. Still to come? Snacks and a Q&A!

Check out the flavored packets from Wal-Mart...they have a ton of flavors and they are all available in sugar free.
