Not Enough Time For Self

Do you ever realize you don't do enough for yourself? Sometimes I don't realize I'm forgetting about myself until it's too late. I wake up early to get A off for school. When I come home, I either have to go to school, or I have to take NYEBoy to school, depending on the day. If I have to take NYEBoy to school, I usually come home and catch up on school work or house cleaning without interruptions. Then it's off to class for me. By the time I get out of class, it's time to pick up A from preschool, and then heading home to take care of dinner, more house work, and of course A. Once she's asleep, usually around 8, sometimes around 9 or a tad later, it's time for me to catch up on more of my school work. pretty soon, I glance at the clock and it's well after midnight and I am exhausted.

Last night, I had a ton of school work to do, but first I had to take care of myself. I desperately needed a shower, which also requires me to straighten my hair, but of course, A did not want to just go to sleep. Instead, she spent two hours fussing in my arms before she finally crashed. I started watching the season finale of Teen Mom, when an hour into it, I realized it was going to be a two hour special. Ugh. Of course, I couldn't pull away then, so I watched it until midnight. After that, I had to make A's lunch, get her clothes laid out for today, and then I finally hopped into the shower.

Some time around 2 am, I was finally able to start working on my English homework. I did all I could do before telling myself to go take a nap at 4 am. I woke back up at 7 am, thirty minutes longer than I had planned, and I got A ready for school, breakfast in her bely, and dropped her off at preschool. I was back home by 9, where I finished the last of my English homework. NYEBoy dropped me off at school a smidge before 10. I've been sitting crisscross-applesauced for an hour preparing for today's math lesson.

And Monday through Friday, this cycle continues. Rinse. Lather. Repeat.

And it's time for a nap class!

believe me I understand. I work a full time M-F 8-5 job at our family business (which really means there are days I work more than that) I have a 2nd job on Wed nights and Sunday mornings. I have 2 kids in elementary school that also have to be taken twice a month to visit their Dad in another state. There are not enough hours in the day!
