We've Moved!

Sort of.

As you all know, we've been looking for a place to move this fall when our lease is up. I don't know if my head is just too tired of looking at places or not, but last week I had an epiphany. I think we're making the decision to stay where we are at. We've looked at a ton of places, but none are in the same price range with the same amount of space. I'm oddly okay with this.

A starts Kindergarten next year and we really like the one she would go to at our current location. If we move closer to The Crew's school, she won't be at as good of a school. So, unless we find something in the same price with a lot more space, it looks like we will be stay put.

Having said that, things needed to change in the house. NYEBoy is a creature of habit. He doesn't do well with changes, no matter how simplistic that seem to some. He swears he's normal, but I swear he's not. I, on the other hand, am not. As a teenager, I changed my room every six months to a year without even thinking twice about it. Now, I can't do that. I have to ask, beg, and plea to move a box to move furniture.

Tuesday, I got the itch to move our bed and dresser. Except this time, I didn't ask. I just did it. I had a moment of it's better to ask for forgiveness than permission. As I was moving the bed and furniture I realized how much room our bedroom really has. I asked a year ago if I could have the master bedroom to use as my office, but NYEBoy refused. I finally broke down and told him that he didn't have a choice any more. I've decided to move my office into the master bedroom and our bed and dresser into my office. I told him if moving everything in one room didn't help streamline things and help me get more listed/sold that I would move switch it all back. He wasn't very happy to say the least, but I feel it necessary to stand my ground on this one.

So, here's my new office and A's playroom. What do you think?

It may look a little unorganized, but I swear everything is where I can find it. I still have a few more things to organize on the outside wall of the closet, but there's 10 bins there.

Hopefully with everything organized (I still have a few bags of inventory downstairs to bring up.) and in one room, I'll be able to work better. I'm also hoping with the bigger space, A will be more apt to play so I can sneak in some work time during the day too.

Hey as long as you can find it that is what counts. I think you have done a great job considering all you have to accommodate. Good job!
