Show & Tell: Smile

As I've mentioned before, I had a rough childhood, which included my teenage years. One of my best friends from high school painted this for me in her art class and gave it to me.

It was just a reminder, that no matter how tough things get, sometimes you just need a reminder to smile. She gave it to me on May 4th, 2000. With the exception of the pink area, it's still survived several moves, including the big 500 mile one. I always have it near my desk as a reminder. Smile.

Speaking of smiling, I've posted a new review of something that really made me smile. Go check it out.

What a cool gift and it's made even better by having survived so many moves.

I love the sentiment and the story behind it.

How sweet! And I bet it does its magic when needed too! ;)

That is great! Sweet gift from a friend, and I think the pink smudge adds character.

What a lovely gift your friend gave you. Sincere smiling seems to just release a lot of bad feelings.

And I know from experience that moving with paintings can be a tricky endeavour.

What a beautiful painting and story. At first I didn't even see a pink smudge, it seems integral to the picture to me.
