It sort of just happened. In part because I started consuming something new, but also in part because of my double chin and ever expanding waist line are embarrassing me. I've been drinking at least 2 liters of soda a day for over 10 years. At some points, I would consume 2-2 liters or a twelve pack of cokes in a day.
About two weeks ago, I started drinking the tea at home. With the exception of maybe once or twice, I haven't had coke at the house in about two weeks. That's a huge deal for me. It would probably bring tears to my grandma's eyes.
It's not easy, though. I know if I want, I could go downstairs right now, pull a 2 liter out of the fridge and pour it over ice and drink two cups in about five minutes. I can feel the burning sensation it would cause my tongue and throat. I know how refreshing it would be. I know it sounds crazy, but I swear I am addicted to coke. I feel like the polar bears during the Holiday season who open the coke and gurgle it down. I could TOTALLY go for that right now. *Ahhhh...refreshing*
But, I'm trying. I'm trying for the sake of my body. I can't stand being fat and this is one of my largest calorie consumers.
It's worth it, right?

totally worth it!
I was drinking about the same...It got to the stage where I would have a glass of coke at breakfast time.
I have now since replaced coke with chocolate milk with no fat milk.
Noticed that I not only lost weight, but my skin cleared up too. Huge plus...
Still crave that coke...
You can do it!!
Definitely! I have the same addiction and I have started replacing it with Propel. I am not a water fan but Grape Propel is so very good! It definitely makes a difference in your waste line. Good for you!
It will absolutely be worth it! Sounds like you're doing very well, it can't be easy. Keep drinking the tea and be kind to yourself, make sure you have other things that you like. x
Yes, it is totally worth it!
Wow-that's amazing. I could never, ever give up my diet coke. It was hard enough giving up the caffeinated variety for awile there.
You addiction to coke sounds like my addiction to coffee. I probably drink 10-12 cups a day.
I give you huge props for doing this. Way to go!
