Now that A is growing up and playing with toys that are more than just a teether or rattle toy, the time we spend playing together makes me flashback to my childhood. Thanks to eBay, I am able to search for those toys of yesteryear. Most of my favorite toys are vintage fisher price toys. They include the cash
register, the
cupcake set, and of course, my all time favorite toy,
the wedding cake set. We don't have the extra $$ to spend right now, but I would love to try to get some of our childhood toys for A and for our future children.
Can I just say how much is sucks to search for VINTAGE TOYS when you're only 25? Ahh, fucking life.
What are your favorite childhood toys? Do you still have any? Do you plan on trying to get any to share the memories with your children?
Don't forget to see what the rest of the class is sharing.

I played a lot with my Breyer model horses. I actually gave mine to my nieces.
My MIL has all of my husbands toys from when he was young. They are in nearly perfect condition. they are the old Ses Street play sets. I love them
We had all kinds of Fisher Price people and buildings (they're now Little People, and not nearly as cool). I held on to my castle and most of the pieces, even though the dog chewed up my prince and one of the horses.
I can't remember what my favorites were. However, my husband played with Power Rangers Zords when he was little and he has a stack of them at his parent's house that go from the floor to the ceiling! I've informed him that those will NEVER be making an appearance in our house, but they're more than welcome to make an appearance in our bank account! lol
Thanks for sharing! I'm a big eBay, fan, too!
ha ha - I know what you mean - surely we cannot be that old, but look - our toys are vintage!!!! ;-)
We had little people, but they were different than little people are today. Boy, back in my day...
I loved the cash register too as a kid. My favorite toy was my "shmabbage patch doll" it was a ghetto knock off cabbage patch with a cloth head that always got dirty. I really wanted a cabbage patch, but my shmabbage patch was alright too. I loved my little people set and I loved my "goo goo doll" with its head made out of pantyhose.
The Fisher Price castle that had the trapdoor at the top? We used to send our little plastic Colonel Sanders through there and the Fisher Price knights would punish him.
