Matt has turned this tragic situation into a foundation to help the families who have also lost a parent. His wife's memory will live on through the Liz Logelin Foundation.

He is also is in this week's issue of People Magazine, so go pick one up! It's the issue with Patrick Swayze on the cover, starting on page 108.

Matt, just in case you read this (you know, with all that free time you have), you're an amazing father and Liz would be proud. Madeline is lucky to have a father as dedicated as you. Many prayers for you.
Go see what the class is sharing this week.

I really need to go out and get this magazine. I looked on Friday but the new magazines weren't on the shelf yet.
I've been reading Matt's blog for a while, and it's amazing to see how far he's come with his writing and now the foundation. What a great thing to share for "show and tell"!
I love Matt's blog - the photographs are always incredible and Madeline is such a sweetie. Liz would have been proud!
I know what I need to pick up at the grocery now...
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for sharing this.
I have to go get this magazine. I read their story and he is truly amazing.
I have been reading his blog since Maddy was 1 month old--she is exactly one month older than my daughter. Thanks for sharing this! I did not know about the People article...I will have to go pick that up.
His story is amazing. What a great husband and father.
I had no idea, thank you so much for sharing! he is an amazing man.
Enjoy your day,

Wow, it's amazing the stories and people we discover care of the blogosphere. Thank you for putting me onto Matt's. Amazing strength. I think I'll be looking for the article too...
Matt is really something else. The foundation he began in Liz's memory will help and give hope to so many.
Matt told me about the People article when I met him and Maddy in Oct. If you read here, you will see I was lucky enough to get a snuggle with Miss Maddy and give her a bottle.
Matt and I talked about how much it means to him to be able to help others in his situation. It's one of the things (along with Maddy) that gets him through the days.
My RE's office stocks People in the waiting room. I'll keep an eye out to see if any of the patients are reading this issue and bawling, as I do almost every time I read Matt's blog.
Hey there....thanks for introducing me to that blog and their foundation. The condition that Liz had was also the reason for a death in my family's acquaintance. That lady died on Dec 4, 2008, within a few hours of giving birth. Her sister was to be married off the next day. Every celebration got cancelled. And I wonder, that when the baby would grow up, what kind of sentiments would dot her birthday - of happiness or gloom....
