You know it's hot in your house when you go to grab a fruit roll up out of the box and it's nearly melted. Air man came today and will be back tomorrow. Motherfuckingfuckityfuck!
I am having house hunting blues. I want to find the house, and I want to find it now. I have, secretly, two realtors working with me. I just want a good neighborhood, not in the ghetto, in our price range. Grrr. Thankfully, we have time, no rush to move in tomorrow, but I really am anxious!

My goodness it must be hot!
I am sorry that you are having the hous hunting blues. I hope that your realtors are able to find something for you soon.
A trick that I learned to survive the hot Florida nights when we had no A/C: you need one of those square fans that can be placed on a table on directly in the floor. Put the fan on the dresser and place a baking pan right behind it. Put a bag of ice on the baking pan and turn on your fan. The air will come out nice and cool and it will feel like you have an A/C in your room.
We had just replaced the insulation on our house and had to wait about two weeks before the A/C guy to come over and hook up the A/C. When we moved into the house, it had no central a/c and we were told that we needed to put in the insulation before the a/c could be hooked up.
Also, if you guys can do some repairs yourselves. try to buy a house that needs a little love. We've lived in three houses (moved around a lot)and I still tell everyone I come in contact with about the beautiful house The Hubby built for me. He didn't really build it, but it needed a lot of love. By the time that he was finished with the house, it was at least 1000 square feet bigger and it had exactly what we needed and wanted in a house. we had to move because we grew out of it (the layout of the house stopped us from adding on another bedroom which we sorely needed). we did made out like bandits when we sold it though :) Sorry to monopolize your posts here!
