Thyriod Back

Well, my thyriod came back normal, I was meaning to go back and write the numbers down to compare to last year but totally forget. However, my ALT (liver function) that was high two weeks ago at 32 (supose to be 30 or below) jumped to 48. Ack! I don't drink either! But I think we have found the problem so we will retest the ALT in a few weeks to see if it goes back down.

Glad to at least know it's not my thyriod.

Hmmm...in the past few months, have you done any Cl0mid cycles (forgive me for asking but I haven't had time to go back and read your older posts)? I did a few some years back and my ALT came back all out of whack high.

My primary care physician at the time didn't know there was a connection and ended up sending me for an ultrasound of my liver, thinking I had fatty liver disease. The scan came back normal though so she was baffled.

After I mentioned it to me RE some months later, she told me that Cl0mid can elevate ALT levels as it takes a while to metabolize out of the body and is 'stored' in the liver (or something to that effect).

Just a thought...and I apologize if it's assvice.
