Saving Money, Getting More

Even as early as 15, 16, etc, I have always tried to save money. I don't like to shop for full price unless I have to. I will buy coupons on eBay, if I find something on sale that I really, really want a lot of. Up until recently I shopped completely at W@l-mart. I would go 2-4 times a week. Sometimes twice in one day.

A few weeks ago a friend of mine gave me a website to check out. GroceryGameDOTcom. She said she's saved thousands. I thought she was crazy. I went on the website and read about it. What it is, is they make list of store for your area (input your zipcode to see which stores are available in your area) and they compile the sales with coupons to give you the deepest discount possible. In my area they only had W@lgreens and $chnuks. I used W@lgreens but $chnuks was too far away. I emailed them and asked if there was any way to get a Kroger list. Since it's a national store they will have the same prices across the board. So I was able to have them add a Kr0ger and now I can get a lot of really good deals grocery wise as well. The prices are simple, and beyond fair. First month is only $1. After the first month if you are satisfied it is only $10 for the first store, and $5 for each additional store you add, every 8 weeks. I have W@lgreens & Kr0ger.

Now, you make still say "yeah, yeah, whatever". Let me explain to you what I did this past month. I was able to get the following:

11 Toothpaste
4 packs of gum
1 Spray & Wash Cleaner
6 Packs of Cough Drops
5 Pack of Tampons
5 Free Pack of Tampons
14 bags of Carmels
4 Bags of Candy
1 25oz Shampoo
4 Bottles of Lysol Spray/Cleaner
1 Bottle Mylanta
1 set of Batteries
1 Tooth Brush
2 packs of razors

$201.13 Retail
$80.98 Out of Pocket
$59.89 Getting Back

$21.09 = 90% Savings

Isn't that just amazing? I am able to save over $180 on getting things I would normally get, but SO many more things. Now if I can do this at W@lgreens, just imagine what I can do at the real grocery store. I dare you, go try it for a month. See what you can get for that first $1. I bet you won't be mad at me! :-)

I will also say, through that website, and a few others, I was able to find a deal at other stores for chex m!x as low as $0.25 a bag, detergent for as low as $1.00 a bottle for the brand we use that's normally $4.99 a bottle, and M over 16 deodorants for FREE.
